2027–28 Mainland internship funding: NGO applications and youth enrolment are different
The new funding round invites eligible NGOs to apply. Young people should look for separate recruitment notices from programme organisers.

An application round for organisations
On 16 October 2026, HYAB and the Youth Development Commission launched the 2027–28 Funding Scheme for Youth Internship in the Mainland. Eligible NGOs can apply online by 9 November. The scheme supports NGO-run youth internships. This deadline is for organisations, not individual participants.
Our practical suggestions
Three questions before choosing an internship
Our practical suggestion: name the industry you want to understand, the skill you want to practise and the time you can commit. When recruitment opens, compare actual duties, the city, support and learning arrangements before deciding.
- Who will supervise your work and give feedback?
- What travel, accommodation, insurance and personal costs apply?
- How could you use your observations in a workplace or community project afterwards?
