Cyberport GBA youth entrepreneurship 2026: apply individually by 27 November

Eligible 18–30-year-old tertiary students and recent graduates can explore this intake. Individual selection and training come before a cross-region project application; the HK$100,000 grant is for admitted teams only.

Individual application first; team funding later

Cyberport GBA YEP 2026 closes on 27 November 2026; submit documents through the organiser’s online platform. The published timeline gives no closing time, so check early. Applicants must be 18–30 at the deadline. Under the guidelines, Hong Kong applicants must be enrolled at a registered Hong Kong post-secondary institution or have graduated from one within three years. Stage 1 accepts individuals without an existing team. Shortlisted applicants attend the entrepreneurship bootcamp on 15–17 January 2027; the programme is conducted in Mandarin. After satisfactory training, Stage 2 involves a joint project application with at least one Hong Kong member and one from Guangdong or Macau, with Hong Kong ID holders comprising at least half the team. Full rules also cover principal applicants’ identity requirements. Admitted teams receive HK$100,000 and six months of mentoring support. Grants are paid in stages subject to the agreement and progress, not automatically upon application.

Our practical suggestions

Start with a real need, then develop the idea

Our suggestion: choose a user problem you understand, conduct short interviews about current practices and test one improvement with a small prototype. Write down the skills, cross-region collaboration and time you can contribute. Before applying, check supporting documents, restrictions on other funding and project responsibilities; do not assemble a team simply to pursue a grant.

  • At 27 November, do my age, place of study and graduation date meet the guidelines?
  • Whose real problem does the digital idea address, and what would cross-region collaboration add?
  • Can I attend Mandarin training and reserve time for team formation, proposals and project milestones?
